Obama’s Flawed Race Strategy: Why the Black Vote Won’t Be Enough

Obama has been shockingly outspoken about winning based on the black vote, specifically GA and VA. Lots of analysis on why this won’t be successful, is offensive, and will ultimately backfire.

there is no way obama will get virginia.
NObama is definitely “Change We Can Believe In” to further divide race relations in America, Just Say NO Deal!
PUMA!
I read the resource article for this blog a couple of days ago and was relieved to see it. It confirmed my intuition about the sitch in the South.
I am not an AA, but after reading article after article describing the atrocities imposed upon the AA community in BHO’s State Senate District 13 in South Chicago, I have found myself agitated and praying that African Americans will somehow become aware of the reality that BHO is a sellout politician…and that their people are the ‘commodity’ he has traded upon.
As a lifelong Democrat—raised in Mississippi (transplant to WI 30 years ago)—I fought vigorously against Republicanism. I was very well aware of the strangle-hold they had on development in the South; and yes, suppression was their favorite tactic.
I had hoped that Mississippi and Louisiana would flip to Democrat for this election because of Bush’s dismal showing after Katrina. But the South will not flip for Obama; some because of racism, but most because they are not as ‘sheepish’ as the world sees them. They will do their homework, and they will find everything that I have found. They will find that BHO is not fit to be senator let alone president. And they will rise up.
Thank you iamOnly1 for your insightful and honest report.
I don’t think a lot of African Americans care about how he will turn on them but that is why this black woman is voting for McCain I cannot take it. Your middle class people aren’t sadly going to be the one that gets messed with.
