One sure result of voting McCain — help reform the GOP! :-)

But while Senator McCain has solid conservative credentials in practice and on paper, his willingness and ability to reach across the aisle have made some on the right suspicious of his true motives. His nomination steers the RNC toward a more centrist place than it’s been since Richard Nixon was the nominee.
Should Senator McCain capture the White House, his presidency and control of the party could leave social conservatives, who comprise about a third of the party, on the outside looking in. [....]
Dedicated Republicans have long been accused of being unwavering ideologues, willing to lose on principle rather than win on compromise. A John McCain presidency would radically shift that dynamic, if he follows \ the bipartisan method he used in the Senate.

yes and the Conservatives who probley would be backing Hillary will not back Obama because they will not take the chance Obama wins.
I think both Parties need to be reformed.
Any party that “SELECTS THE NOMINEE,INSTEAD OF ELECTS” the nominee doesn’t need to be reformed it needs to be replaced with a party that stands for what the dem party used to stand for! Maybe They would rather have a president “APPOINTED RATHER THAN ELECTED! ISN’t that how it’s done in RUSSIA? I think we’re headed for communisim,Or marxism, if we allow them to dis-allow THE VOTE OF THE PEOPLE” HILLARY WON THE POPULAR VOTE, SHE SHOULD OUR NOMINEE!
I completely agree….the puma/hillary supporters are a LARGER group then the conservative christian coalition. By supporting McCain, we effectively knock them out as being effective among the RNC and that is a good thing.
I think McCain’s stance on issues is similar to Arnold’s here in Cali. And when I heard that McCain changed his team to be lead by the guy that successfully managed Arnold’s reelection - that’s a good thing.
Never in my life would I have silently ‘cheered’ for a republican - but the democrat that my ex-party chose to nominate is so inferior there is simply no other choice.
At least this time the republicans were smart enough to go with a moderate candidate….
